About Me
Who Am I?
Hi, I'm Caitlyn! I'm so grateful you stopped by and want to learn more about who I am!In order to truly know me, you ought to know who my Father is first: the Light of the world, the King of kings, Lord of lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Word, the Author of all creation. I am a daughter of the Most High, fearfully and wonderfully made. I am a friend of Christ, made alive in Christ, and intricately designed in my Creator's image. Before any other title I could take on, this is who I am at my core. My identity is in Christ. My desire to serve others comes with knowing that I have been deemed worthy of life and love by God- with my soul being known by Him before my body was even formed. By God's grace alone, I've been redeemed by Christ's finished work on the cross, and blessed to receive the Holy Spirit as my Advocate and the gift of eternity by Jesus' blood. I didn't have to earn these gifts of mercy and love, and yet God chose to freely extend His righteous right hand my way.I want to extend that same level of care that goes beyond the surface, seeing every client as an individual deserving of all compassion, respect, understanding, and support. I want to serve my community with humility and benevolence as Jesus has modeled. I want to choose to share the weight with others who are facing life's challenges, and through my work, be one dependable piece of the puzzle that makes up their overall support system.“'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'” Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"
[Matthew 12:36-39 NIV]
What Led Me Here?
I felt drawn to work alongside small business owners as a Virtual Assistant, having also previously co-founded my own small business! I have learned firsthand just how involved operating a business truly is. It's so much more than just performing a service for someone. It means:
- Maintaining long-lasting relationships with clients through consistent, transparent, and patient communication and effective follow-up
- Being alert to recognize community needs as they arise
- Marketing your work through content creation
- Documenting what programs will work best before investing in them in order to maintain a balance of cost without significant quality loss
- Keeping back-end systems such as calendars and inboxes up-to-date, organized, and spam-freeOwning and operating a business is extremely complex, with several moving parts that all serve to contribute to its overall success. Juggling each and every part all at once can be incredibly tiring to manage without the proper support. The creation of my previous brand opened an even greater door than I imagined. Even though it wasn't planned, I found that I actually really valued the administrative side of business! I enjoyed following up with clients to learn about their orders, sending them progress updates, and taking note of their feedback so I could cultivate even greater designs. I also loved crafting the visuals for our own branding and being able to see the fruits of our labor as our company's identity came to life across our external channels.I've discovered that what I ultimately cherish most in my work is being the person available to meet others' needs, having the opportunity to bear witness to others' growth, and apply myself practically to materialize their concepts and ideas into reality! I've since decided to direct my focus towards providing small business owners administrative support as a Virtual Assistant specializing in Graphic Design, in order that they, too, can direct their full attention towards their own passions!
